# Broden appointed as Coastal Regional Manager at Pragma

April 24, 2014Nelson Broden, was appointed as Regional Manager of the coastal region (Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal), on the 1st of April 2014. Broden previously served as Asset Care Centre manager in the northern region. Pragma currently has regional offices in Durban and Port Elizabeth with more than 60 employees a turnover of over R30 million.

Broden looks forward to the challenge of his new position: “It’s a great privilege to be promoted to regional manager. I’m really excited to work with the highly energetic coastal team that continuous to adopt new processes and software. My responsibilities are to drive the strategy and focus areas within the region, as well as grow the region in a sustainable way.”

Broden already has a clear set of goals that he would like to achieve as regional manager. “My first goal is to grow the ACC@Pragma market that has been declining in our region over the last few years. Secondly, I would like to grow the automotive industry as the bulk of the manufacturers and suppliers come from this region. Thirdly, we’d really like to make a difference in the public sector – the Eastern Cape and KZN have huge opportunities to improve and manage their infrastructure. Lastly, and most importantly, I will put a lot of focus into the development of the coastal team in order to keep our high levels of employee engagement as well as continuing focus that Pragma is the seen as the trusted Asset Management advisor.”

Broden is very proud of finishing the Absa Cape Epic three times. “This event teaches you persistence, to keep calm and to always have a sense of humour during tough times.” He balances work and his private life by “trying to keep work at work and home at home. “When I’m at work, I work. When I’m at home, I’m at home.” He enjoys golf, cycling and any sport in his free time.

Broden holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Stellenbosch and is currently completing his MBA through Stellenbosch.
