# Supporting Teachers at Nokuphila School

November 26, 2015As part of an initiative to identify projects that make a sustainable contribution to communities, Pragma has donated more than R50 000 to Love Trust in support of six aspiring teachers to complete their BEd degrees through Unisa.

These students are employed by the Love Trust at Nokuphila School where they are involved in the practical aspects of education in the classroom. During this time, Love Trust aims to provide these aspiring teachers with practical exposure, opportunities and financial assistance to enable them to complete their courses successfully.

“The Love Trust policy is to refund our team members with 50% of all the subjects that they passed. Our request from Pragma was to support our team members at Nokuphila School by subsidising the remaining 50%,” says Chantal Verster, a representative of the Love Trust for Nokuphila School.

Pragma’s Social Economic Development (SED) initiatives are focused on empowering communities with the resources, support and skills that ultimately lead to better lives. Pragma’s main focus for SED projects is education and to support institutions where Pragma employees or their families are directly involved already.

“I am so thankful to be part of a company that is so blessed that we have the ability to bless others but that we also have a culture and value set that allows us to do so,” says Pragma Managing Director Attie Nieuwoudt.
