### Centralised EAM system for Supreme Poultry

Supreme Poultry has taken a leap forward in their asset management practices.

They have contracted with Pragma Products for the implementation of On
Key on a single data base to have centralised standards and control
between their three abattoirs in Botshabelo, Tigane and Mafikeng.

On Key implementation commenced in September and a total of 2500 MSI’s
will be maintained via the Asset Manager, Maintenance Manager and
Materials Manager Modules.

Gert Diedericks and Samuel Smith will also see to the training of all
staff utilising the system, ensuring that they use the system to its
optimum for the improvement of their asset performance.

**Union Carriage Wagon hook up On Key**

The Union Carriage Wagon (UCW) company’s growing production load has
required management to invest in a more reliable EAM system to cater for
well-maintained production units, currently delivering a larger than
usual capacity of stock.

On Key was the natural choice as its functionality allows for
integration with Syspro, their current ERP system and it has modules
such as Asset Maintenance Manager, which is crucial as a base from which
to drive their asset-performance improvements.

Pragma Products places a high premium on the correct application of the
On Key software as well as optimising it for plant-specific needs. Thus
an intensive training schedule for all operators will take place with
the implementation of the software.

The UCW Partnership was formed in 2003 and is a joint initiative between
Union Carriage&Wagon Co. (Pty) Ltd (a subsidiary of
Murray&Roberts), and a consortium led by the J&J Group.

As a broad-based empowerment enterprise, The UCW Partnership provides
innovative rail transport solutions to South Africa and key export
markets. Since 1957, 13 000 new locomotives, suburban trains and coaches
have been designed and manufactured at its 37-hectare facility situated
in Nigel, South Africa. Refurbishing and upgrading of rolling stock is a
significant element of the partnership’s growth strategy. They will
also be responsible for the assembly of the Gautrain.

**On Key sparks off a new era in Petra Diamonds’ asset management initiative**

The Petra Diamond mining group is rapidly expanding with growth
initiatives on the African continent. With the recent acquisition of the
Cullinan mine from De Beers, the group is now one of the largest
diamond-producing mines in the world. The Cullinan mine is renowned for
its big and rare diamonds. In 2008 a rare fancy vivid blue, internally
flawless, cushion-shaped diamond weighing 7.03 carats was cut from a
26.58-carat rough stone.

Pragma Products was approached for the rental of On Key Asset and
Maintenance Manager Modules to support 2000 MSI’s in performance
improvement at the Cullinan mine.

The implementation of On Key will transform the asset management
practices at the Cullinan mine and will optimise the equipment care.

Gert Diedericks and Clayton Naidoo will be responsible for the
implementation of On Key and training of all users to ensure optimum use
of On Key to cater for the mine’s specific needs.
